There are two varieties though.. Out of 500 1988's, this one is the the only one with this characteristic

So far, there's only been one 1988 doubled ear DDO found. There hasn't been any other examples found to this day.

Either way it looks nothing like the Normal ear nor the MD one

I re-edited the list of doubled ears into one page. It makes it easier to post. I had to drop one, the 1999.

And here is a D 1988 where the ear seems to be lower than nose if line is drawn
