Greetings, Coin Community!

I am trying to determine whether a Byzantine coin I purchased (my first ancient coin, for better or for worse!) is genuine or fake. This coin was listed as an Anonymous Class I Follis produced during the reign of Nikephorus III (1078-1081):

Reverse:

Side:

Obverse:

Thank you for your expertise!

to the funny farm!

I'm sure no expert but here's what I found. It is listed as a follis of that period attributed to Michael VII(1071-1078). It Looks good on the obverse but the revers shows only one crossmember. Now in the description it does say different reverses, bet it has to do with mint.

Ahh, here. In the cointalk link:

Anonymous under Nicephorus III 1078 to 1081 AD AE Follis, Class I Obvs: IC XC, bust of Christ raising hands in benediction. Revs: Latin cross with X at center, globule at ends. Floral pattern at lower fields. 25mm, 4.7g (Cited from: https://www.cointalk.com/threads/po...ins.286132/)

Now as to authenticity...? Yours does look "clean" and is different, in the halo details, yours seems more pronounced. How's the weight and size match?

Thank you very much!

Crazyb0, I measured the coin and it is in fact 25 mm. However, according to my digital scale, it weighs 4.86 g.
