Well....the Type Set Madness Begins

Sounds like a cool idea. I just started a 7070 and plan on putting good quality coins in it that I can afford. It's going to be fun a journey. Look forward to seeing your progress.

I was going between the Intercept and Dansco but decided on Dansco since I own a few of their albums.

When you say " Year Type Set" I think of all coins issued for that year, what else may have been around in 1848. Get a Seated Liberty half dime, Dime, Quarter, and Half dollar...make it really complete with a SLD of 1848! Put them in a special Capital Plastics mounting or your own design of a framed display...do that for all the generations of ladies since then. We have our own Birth Year sets, those for our kids, work backwards, parents, grandparents. Mount on a felt covered card-stock cutout backing and mount in a nice frame, THAT's a family heirloom! Get the kids involved maybe.

I know it's going to be a long process and I don't plan on putting many MS coins (maybe from the 1940's on) in. I like the idea of F-AU circulated(like the condition they would have been in when my ancestors used them), maybe even some G on the most expensive ones.

I spent Labor Day weekend writing down birthdates-1798 to date and which dates goes with each coin in the album.
