Jgoff21 New Member United States 29 Posts	Posted 07/16/2008 11:41 am I recently was given a bunch of silver from my grandfathers estate. Included in this was around 30 silver Eagles from 87-88. All are in Uncirculated condition. I want to get rid of the silver and use the money to buy a couple of key dates I need. But I was wondering about the eagles. So that is probably what they are worth a piece. They don't really have that much of a premium yet. Report this Post to the Staff

Selling them in bulk will attract the bullion buyers or dealers that often only pay spot or less. spotco2 New Member United States 34 Posts	Posted 07/16/2008 5:10 pm SAE's usually get a premium of around $2-$3 on most of the bullion sites like APMEX, BD ect. Local dealer was selling at $3 over spot yesterday. ebay is good for around $20-$25 per coin including shipping but before fee's of around $2.75-$3.50 depending on variables. Was also going to mention that while you might get more money in the end by selling seperately, it will take a lot of time to do so. 30 coins that are all the same date (or two dates) would be jumped on quickly by a bullion horder, but a coin collector most likely would not have any use for that many of the same thing. Also, some people that collect do not have the available fiat to invest in 30oz at one time. You might have a lot more luck breaking it down to lots of 4 for $100 shipped or something like that so it's a bit more affordable to the general collectors.
