I got this 1998 penny today in some change.could anyone please tell me if it is a close AM? Thanks.

1998 pennies are supposed to be Close AM. The WAM is the one that's worth something.

The Wide AM is the one you're trying to look for, not the Close AM, since it's the correct intended design for that year. http://www.lincolncentresource.com/wideams.html
