Can anybody tell me about this marking that's next to the word UNUM is it an error I am not sure

Looks kinda like a "5". Can you get a tighter close-up?

Looks like an S below the E of STATES as well.
I believe it's just a case of pareidolia.

"Dipping" is not considered cleaning...
