@fin, it could be a die crack proceeding down Abe's temple, but I wonder if it isn't a plating bubble instead. Can you compress this area at all with the tip of a wooden toothpick?

See if you can push down on it with something like a toothpick. If so, plating bubble. If not, sharper pics needed.
