So, this 1910-S cent from a book I just bought.. I'm stumped. Lamination? Damaged collar? Maybe it was found in the bottom of a toolbox..

Sharpness of VF-30/35 tops, weak left stalk. Some grease effects. But the question is, what's happened to the obverse rim from 11-2 o'clock? I'm thinking some sort of vending/counting machine damage perhaps, but that's just a stab.

Appears to be a mint error IMO, damaged collar sounds possible.
