This nickel came from a 1961 P.C. Envelope. What happened? Is there value in this coin? All help appreciated. The pictures of strike through start at the 9:00 position and go clockwise. All lettering is normal. Letters picture to show clarity.
Sorry so many pics. Can't quite convey amount of abnormailty without them

It was in a sealed proof set. Could that have happened at the mint?

Some nasty air got inside the mint cellophane and corrosion started, so it is PSD.

It kinda looks like the plastic stuck to the surface when it got sealed.

Verdict on coin... plastic film was stuck on coin. Very very faint . Thanks for solving the mystery.

I agree, the cello is still on the coin. May have been stored near heat at one time. Probably recently removed recently.

As for the lighting. I have a Sunnywoo USB camera with adjustable lighting. Amazon under 20.00.

How about the plugable 2.0 USB Scope? It's the most widly used one on here.
