Hello all,
I am starting to get into coin collecting. Do you know where I can buy uncirculated rolls of coins?
I would like to go through them and pick out the best and practice my grading skills. Any help?
Thanks, Fred

Your local bank might have some. Other than that there is always ebay

rolls of which coins? what dates? if you are looking for 2008 coins then the bank is the way to go. If you want older coins then ebay, coin shops or online retailers are the way to go. But, if you are just getting into coin collecting why concentrate on UNC rolls? Just go buy a $25 box of cents from the bank and start searching!

I am looking for 2008, but my bank seems to think that I have two heads. They say that they only get mixed rolls.

I have rolls of 08P cents once you get 50 posts I would be fine with selling them to you for face + shipping.

Check with your bank periodically. They get new rolls/boxes of coins all the time. Most banks will have the State Quarters in uncirculated rolls at the very least.

Welcome to the forum.
Most banks just get what their service sends them which is usually mixed rolls but sometimes is new rolls. They can request new I think, but don't. So just keep checking with your bank.

It would also be a good idea to have a couple of places to get rolls from instead of just one. Personally, I get rolls from my bank that does not order in any new coin because they have so much brought in and occasionally will get some from my credit union. I mainly use the credit union for dumping off my cents and getting larger coins, this way I do not go through everything twice.

Yup !.......good point.......you definately need a "dump station" and then a "buying station" ......

Many banks do not get solid rolls unless you ask them specifically to order them that way.
Practicing grading skills can be done using circulated rolls. Most of these rolls will contain newer uncirculated coins.

Coppercoins, what do you mean when you say, "Most of these rolls will contain newer uncirculated coins?"

Try all the banks between home and work/school etc. I had been having that same problem but went into a bank I had never been to before today and the teller said they got uncirculated rolls all the time.
