I found this in a mixed circulated roll, from a bank box of U.S. Pennies. Is this WDDO-003 "Best Of" Variety? I think it is, since the doubling matches and I am pretty sure the die markers match, but I'll let you be the judge. Any confirmation on this would be greatly appreciated.

Ok listen, my weakness is doubling, so I was looking at the die markers on Wexler's and they just don't seem to match up for me. I believe you do have it, as you are an expert, and I am not. It's just that I'm confused right now. I mean, to be honest, I can't really see any doubling on the coin, unlike in Wexler's.

Again, I do not doubt you at all, I agree that you have it, I just don't understand why my eyes can't see it?

Thank you levelsofmadnes and tropicalbats for confirming it!

SilveCents, I got the right die markers, it's just they're hard to see from circulation wear. If you look closely at the letters on "IGWT" there's some separation lines visable on the letters. Separation lines show the best on the "W" of "WE" and the "RUS" of "TRUST". Circulation wear has worn off some of the doubling. Trust me, it's definitely there and visable. Hard to see somewhat, but it's there.

E&V, hope you don't mind I borrow a couple of your pictures for this:

The doubling on this coin shows as separation lines, and extra thickness where the doubling was worn away a bit. Let me know if I can help explain anything further, or clearer.

No problem SilverCents. When I first found it, the doubling was somewhat hard to see, but once I saw the separation lines, I knew it was the real deal. This Doubled Die is more difficult to to see in circulated grades, since it's light separation lines.

CoinHunter27, no problem. You can borrow my pictures anytime you want for demonstrating purposes.

Well that wraps it up for me! Thank you CH27! This helped quite a bit actually!

I've always thought that looking for doubling requires extreme skill, and in some cases I suppose it does. But I suppose that I managed to talk myself out of being able to see it when it was in the open!

Thanks again CH27!

SilverCents,

All letters of IGWT have it... but hard to see in the Ts and "E" in WE.

I reference the "OD" in "GOD" only to distinguish WDDO-003 and WDDO-004. The WDDO-003 seems to be a stronger doubled die.

I am like you I couldn't see the die marker so I compared the actual Doubling of the WDDO-003 and WDDO-004.
