Looks like a small date to me. What's the weight?

Small date for sure but appears to be a copper. Weigh it on a scale or use the popsicle stick method and compare it to a regular zinc cent. If you aren't familiar, just make a seesaw style scale from crossing a popsicle stick over a round pencil. Make sure it is even then balance one coin on each side. Copper will always be heavier than the zinc.

Small Date Denver Cent. Looks like the zinc one, but weigh it just in case.

Isn't the reverse condition enough to say it is zinc? It appears to be zinc rot to me.

I hope that's not zinc rot on the reverse. I really hope not.

Sure, it looks like zinc rot, but the weight will confirm it.

A least you rang the bell by correctly identifying it as a small date!

Hey guys!

Quick tip I picked up. If you flip the coin and you hear ringing then it's copper, if not it's zinc.

Have a nice day!
