It does not look like the value of the coin would justify the grading fees....

I suspect that you'll spend more to have PCGS certify this coin than it is worth. What is the motivator for TPG grading?

Use the money you would waste on PCGS grading to buy another coin.
Bucket loads of these in Mint State , yours is likely 64 RED , a very common LWC.

I actually think it is AU. Definitely not worth grading. I hope it's not too late.

Pics aren't really sharp enough to grade from, but it would have to come back at least 65RD to justify the grading fees. Not a good bet.

Thank you all for you appraisals with my terrible pictures (sorry about that-working on better set up) and very appreciated advise.......I'm getting it graded because that's the best one I've acquired in my 6 months (novice) of collecting for my Lincoln Cent wheat collection (1909-1958) of graded coins I will pass down to my two boys (13 & 15), once I acquire another coin as reasonable as this one cost me in better condition, I'll cull this one and sell it hopefully enough to cover cost of grading and cost of coin? I honestly thought that's how collectors started putting together collections and sell unwanted coins without guessing or lying about condition to unsuspecting coin collectors? I'd rather sell a graded coin then trying to guess grade and not be an honest seller! Who knows, may just start a second set of coins and keep them all, lol! My thoughts are the older the coins get the more valuable they become, yes I know once graded that's final! Anywho, that's my reasoning! Thanks again community! Sarge, out

63, not worth submitting. If you want a slabbed coin, you'd be FAR better off buying one already slabbed.

https://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_fr...909+vdb+PCGS

The TPG game is a losing proposition for the novice collector. They are more than happy to take your money and send you back a coin worth less than the slabbing costs.

I agree I wouldn't slab it. Heck I have a 1909 S VDB I didn't slab.
