I think this would grade between VF-30 to VF-35, wear on the eagles breast and the motto isn't very clear.

VF-35
Question: Does the 'S' stand out as much in hand?
Inquiring minds want to know.

No, it seems to be strongest at a certain angle. I took some closeups and there is some darkened area around the mm, but doesn't appear to be an added mm. Acetone didn't affect it either. I couldn't find any reference as to type of mm so if someone sees anything suspicious about it, please comment.

Also, Breen's mentions for this date that " motto will be weak and blurry even in VF and may be partly blurry even in EF". and " eagle's breast and both outer wing edges may be weak"

The mm looks okay to me in the close-up.
It must have been the lighting!

There's too little hair detail for me to feel comfortable calling this anything higher than a 30... I'd grade the obverse a 20 and the reverse a 30 average the two together and end up with a --- VF-25

VF30. I used to have one with that kinda blob mm really similar to that and it was real.

judging from the pics and its not easy the strike looks weak to me if I'm right I would think this coin is a possible AU or higher either way a great looking coin
