This isn't my coin but I'm considering buying it.

What grade would you give it?

Thanks all!

I'm more like VF-30, but a most attractive example for sure.

An attractive F15
Look away from the hair, unlike other Victoria portraits this is not the first point of wear.
For a VF grade the drapery lines must be clear but not sharp, the ribbon end on the neck must be clear and distinct.
On the reverse the fleurs de lis and ribbon knot should also be clear and distinct.
"Dipping" is not considered cleaning...

Vf 30 with some environmental damage, the green area I'm referring to, hopefully it hasn't harmed the surface beneath

While I appreciate all the grade opinions (a record number in less than 24 hours, I might add - way to go community), I myself think this coin deserves a grade of VF30 +.

I don't see any wear, just a bunch of 'bag marks' from being mishandled over the years.

It goes to show that grading can be very difficult and remaining objective is tough. I'd still like to hear more opinions to get a better fix on this one.

DBM, the drapery lines are pretty distinct and the ribbon on the neck is also very clear and undistirbed looking. Surely this coin is better than Fine. The weak looking Fleur de lis is a result of the strike, not wear.
