I just received this from McDonald's. Most if not all xtra metal is raised. Curious to know if it theoretically possible to do this during the minting process, thanks. Sorry for the car photos, best I can do for now!

What you see is impossible to happen during the striking of a coin. It is just some form of PMD.

What is the photo of the 1966 cent for?

What happens after the minting process where it looks like images are created from new metal. Are those images underneath a layer that moved?

Yes, looks to me like the quarter spent some quality time lounging on a parking lot.

Looks like Disney animators got ahold of a coin or all those college parties are finally catching up to me.
