I am trying to sell my Atocha coin on ebay and I got an interested party saying he is looking at a grade 3 gold coin and and mine which is a grade 1 silver. That. Sounds a little crazy to me, as there were -150 gold coins found and they are gold. That would be crazy if the price is even close. I told him if to make sure there is a cert. for gold one.

Can someone educate me more on the gold coins and also if I am pricing mine comparably. I need money so am taking a hit but don't want to get taken either.

I raked do last where I bought it in Key West and she said they are going for 5-6k in shop now for the grade 1 silver. I bought it in 2015 for 3000. I'm trying to figure ebay fees in which is confusing too. I believe fee and 10%.
Please someone give me some HONEST information or advice. I'm uneducated on the subject to a point.
Thanks!

Probably you have already done your research on ebay, and seen that in recent months, the selling prices for "Atocha Grade 1 Silver" items have mostly been between $1800 and $2600 (only 1 is higher and there are a few unmounted specimens that are considerably lower).

In my opinion, this means your hope to get $3000 is not very realistic, unless you've got something special (you didn't post details or a photo). Also, if you are new to ebay (low fb number), potential buyers might be wary of buying something this valuable from a new seller.

Most of the time the fees you will pay on ebay are a 10% final value fee (so, if you sell for $2,500, ebay will take $250), and you will also pay 3% to paypal. You may also need to take into consideration if you would need to ship the item insured.

Good luck!
