Bottom one looks to be a modern. The top one is likely modern too. I cannot identify the artists.

@tolch, have you thought about asking at the Hobo Nickel Society? I don't see either of yours as a match to their lists, but perhaps there are some subtle indicators that would help them with your identification. Here is the link:

They look modern to me. I don't know if modern artists are catalogued. Spence has good advice.
