I'm starting this new specific thread for a topic that was brought to our attention by SteveInTampa in another thread. After looking at the BEP site for the reported print runs, Serial Number batches, and locations of printings, it appears there are approximately 6.4 million matched pairs of Serial Numbered Star Notes out there. I'm fascinated in the thought of Two Star Notes with duplicate Serial Numbers, somewhere in the world, and going against the odds of the universe in finding and bringing them together. But that's exactly what Mr Ed Zegers, and his team of volunteers are trying to do. I thought maybe fellow CCF members would feel the same enthusiasm I'm feeling and want to try and help build their database and accomplish this monumental challenge. If everyone can Start looking at their star notes, and if they find one of the possibles, submit your finds data to them, they will do the rest as far as getting it properly entered in the database and matching up the owners if another pair is discovered. Do not submit the actual Bill, just the data about your Bill. Here's a simplified List of what to look for: Look for 2013 "B" Star Notes Look for SN between B00000001* and B00250000* Look for SN between B03200001* and B09600000* If you have any of those, then please submit the data about your bill, to the project. Where to submit is listed at the bottom of the article. Here's one of my finds compared to the list, only one number off for a match. Soooo close. So far I've found 9 notes they didn't have and will be submitting them today. If you find any, also post them here so we can all follow along as to what Team CCF is doing What do you say? Awesome. I've contacted Ed directly and given him my information, but great idea. The more people looking, the better the chances of finding more pairs.
Imagine if Post Malone or Kylie Jenner or anyone with millions of followers posted this to their Instagram account. That would speed things up a bit.

How true SteveInTampa, if someone famous did that it would be amazing. If anyone finds one, this is the information Mr Zegers and his team are requesting: The Serial Number on the Bill The Plate Position Number The Face Plate Number The Back Plate Number Then submit the above information to both: Mr Zegler at dollarsavr@aol.com Ms Winograd at kwinograd@snet.netThey will do the rest

Hey SteveInTampa, you've been on this Forum for a long time, and I'm new, is there some way to alert all members of the Forum the need for help on a project like this.
Most people may only click on things they actively work on and may never look at the Currency Topic, thus never seeing this call for help to Mr Zegers project.
Your thought on a famous person posting this would help with the rest of the world, but how do we post a call for help of everyone within our own Forum?
Or is this the best we can do, and just hope people click on the currency Forum.
So far only a few people have viewed this, but we have thousands of members.
Maybe the Moderators could create a thread on the home page dedicated to Group projects data gathering. That would be a good spot for all polls to be no matter the topic too, in an effort to expose more members to the need for information.
What do you think?

It's understandable you're looking for more exposure. I'm struggling to put a value on a set of matching notes and wondering if the currency collecting public at large even cares about the potential accomplishment.

I don't know how to put an excel spreadsheet on here for you to have the list. If someone knows how let me know. There going to send out a new updated list at the end of the month. It might be easier to send an email to Karol Winograd. It 56 pages long.

Great Tanman2001 Did you email them to Karol and Ed so they can input them to the database?
They will send you a current list once they have your email.
