Hello,

now in Corona times I have some time for beter exploring my coin collections so I have some suspicious about some coins.

Second one is 1 rupee 1835 British India

weight is 11,29 grams, diameter is 30,5 mm.

Please tell me is this coin a fake or contemporary fake or real coin?

Thanks.

To help establish authenticity, try the tissue test.
Click in the CCF search box to see how this simple test is done.

As a completely unworn example, this coin should have a weight of 11.66 grams.
Considering the amount of wear this con has sustained, the
lower weight of 11.29 grams may be reasonable in this case.

I think it is genuine, but it does not have much value over the bullion value, due the the extensive amount of wear.

From personal experience, tissue test works best if the coin has a high silver content and good condition.
Low silver content or toned coins don't really show up well.
