@CG, that looks like Juno on the front and Vulcan's forge on the back. Isn't this Denarius supposed to be silver though? Yours is about the right weight I think but I'm not sure is the right metal. I'm interest to hear what our Roman republic experts think.

The surface of the coin looks like it has been lacquered which makes the picture of the coin look odd. Try cleaning it with some acetone or alcohol. Te coin appear genuine IMO.
