Hi there. I've been searching roughly $1000 a month for the last few months. I get them near the end of the month, then pay all my bills with them a few days later.

At first, I got so many 2003 and 2003As I was happy to find 1976s, and thought they were hard to find. Now I know that's not the case - sometimes >50% of a batch will be older bills.

I had to think about what type of a collection to save. I can't afford to squirrel away too many. First I thought I'd get one of each year issued, but that's only four (1976, 1995, 2003, 2003A). Then I thought I'd try and get a set of each bank (A, B, C, ... K, L) for 1976. A couple of those were harder to find than others, but it was still easily obtainable. I turned those back in, and decided to try for another 1976 'district set', only with stars. I only have a few, so this should keep me occupied for a few more months.

Since the first day, I haven't found any more notes older than 76. I've found a few with postmarks, but the stamps had been ripped off.

I still haven't found a fancy serial number.

I predict that as the economy sours even more, you will begin "finding" older 2 dollar bills.

It's funny, I've gone through hundreds of $2s so far and still have not found a single star, yet I've found dozens of $1 stars. I guess that's just the way the cookie crumbles...
