Usually we buy paper money that people bring in to sell. Today a lady bought some State Quarters and paid with this. Not in great shape but as long as I've handled money I believe this is only the SECOND radar I have found.

At least five dollars! Sorry, could not resist. But seriously, I do not know. It is probably worth a premium to someone, so it probably depends on how badly they want it.

Very nice. For price I would check out Mike Abramson's website at executivecurrency.com and see if there is anything similar there. He is the most notable person I know of with special serial numbers. Another great site is iccurreny.com which really explains what special serial numbers are.

Whoa, I didn't notice that. That is really neat.
Also, pyrbob, that second link you posted doesn't work. What is the site?

Quote: Another great site is iccurreny.com TimJing, I am guessing he left off the "C" between the "E" and the "N" so try icurrency.com

Doesn't work either. I think the site is dead, or something such.

I never could figure out the collectors interest in the different types of paper money that collectors collect such as the radar notes. I guess I probably collect some things that others probably wouldn't get either. I would like to come across some of the older currency though. The notes with the town banks names on them. I don't remember what they're called but its kind of cool seeing ones from your hometown.

Oops. The site is iccurrency.com. I just tried it and it works. Josh, the notes with the town's bank names on them is national currency. They come in large size and small size notes. It's an interesting part of our currency and becoming more popular each year.
