Airwalker New Member United States 41 Posts	Posted 04/08/2020 10:18 pm I would like to know what is causing the filling in of the spaces between columns on the reverse as well as behind the "ED" in UNITED. The tops of the E and D are also very small. Over polishing can account for the letter size I suppose but not for the fill behind them. Report this Post to the Staff

coop Bedrock of the Community United States 62064 Posts	Posted 04/08/2020 10:20 pm This occurred as a problem back then. Possibly the dies were not hardened/tempered correctly. It was random. 28 of them have this error in a progression, and I am going to try and figure out if they're from the same die pair or from a different one.
