It looks like an D rotated clockwise 20 degrees, an touching the 2.

Possibly a foreign substance adhering to the coin. Have you tried acetone on it?

No I haven't touched it, I will could try to rub it lightly with tiny bit of Grape seed oil on a Q-Tip?

I question foreign debris also, under the loop it appears raised and filled with debris.

Ugh... I hate to treat it, wish my old USB microscope worked with Windows 10.

Try gently pushing into it with a wood toothpick.
