PCGS - The Eisenhower dollar's run lasted from 1971 through 1978, yet it yielded a number of collectible varieties. Among the most popular are three different reverse varieties of the 1972 Ikes struck at the Philadelphia Mint. Collectors have noticed at least three distinct types of designs within the globe, noted in the arrangement of the Caribbean islands, shape of the Florida peninsula, and their relationship with each other and the other depicted land masses.
