Gincoin43 Pillar of the Community United States 1543 Posts	Posted 06/25/2020 02:07 am Ok I am a bit confused but after a bit of looking NGC has 6 varieties for the 1951 Australian Halfpenny. 1951 (p) with dot, 1951 (p) without dot and 1951 PL and three corresponding proof varieties. The PL coins were minted in Birmingham or London and there is no way to distinguish. Normally a Perth coin would have a dot and a Melbourne coin wouldn't but no halfpennies were minted in Melbourne that year and the no dots/no pl are also Perth coins. They are the rarest non-proof for that year and NGC VF listed as $4 for a graded coin. Edited by Gincoin43 06/25/2020 02:08 am Report this Post to the Staff
