yes it a half penny 1951, however they aren't rare. Unless they are proof, dont know off the top of my head either mintage for the proofs or whether they are worth a lot.
Ok I am a bit confused but after a bit of looking NGC has 6 varieties for the 1951 Australian Halfpenny. 1951 (p) with dot, 1951 (p) without dot and 1951 PL and three corresponding proof varieties. The PL coins were minted in Birmingham or London and there is no way to distinguish. Normally a Perth coin would have a dot and a Melbourne coin wouldn't but no halfpennies were minted in Melbourne that year and the no dots/no pl are also Perth coins. They are the rarest non-proof for that year and NGC VF listed as $4 for a graded coin.
