PCGS - Capped Bust quarters are among the more enigmatic examples of early United States coinage, offering collectors a wide array of interesting varieties and a healthy share of intriguing storylines, too. Among these is the 1825/4/2 Capped Bust quarters, which until recently were identified as three separate issues - 1825/2, 1825/3, and 1825/4. That was the case, anyway, until an extensive research project by a Capped Bust quarter expert shed more light on the rather resourceful operations of the early United States Mint.
