Clearly the date on this coin is doubled, but what kind of doubling is it? I'm thinking it's Mechanical Doubling? I've collected a long time but haven't come across doubling errors I could see until a recent microscope purchase. Thanks.

Oh well, it's still work two bucks for silver content. I'll keep looking for the double die I've never found. Maybe one day.

check the info web for known, true double dies, then concentrate on those dates when you look, it will save you a lot of time..

Not saying that there isn't new discoveries to be made, but most of them have already been recorded..

I think most of the images posted 90° out are the result of using a camera phone. Some software does an automatic rotation of the image that you don't see on the camera, but when added to a post changes back to the original sideways rotation for the image.
