I have a Lincoln Wheat cent with a missing date. It is very hard to see any of the date but with photos it seems like it might be a 195x-D but with the naked eye the date appears almost completely gone.

It doesn't appear to have been manually removed as I don't see scratch marks etc. I am guessing it is a filled die error.

Anyone reckon if it is worth much? I have had since I was a young boy many years ago and cannot recall how I got it.

Your cent is a grease filled die, 1958 or before (being a Wheatie). Yours is a good example, but sadly they a bit common and worth maybe only a few dollars. You might what to keep it for your collection. You can check eBay's SOLD listings to see what sort of money they bring. Being in the UK these may not be as common as they are here in the States, p.s.- good job on your photography!

to the CCF! We hope you'll stick around and show us more of your collection.
