Hello! I bought this Half crown from a car boot sale today. Could you please tell me if it's authentic?

Photos are too hazy and you need to clip them so we don't see all the black detail.

Looks real so far, although the obverse throws up a few danger signs.
1821 is a common year and thus little motivation for faking.
Loving Halfcrowns. British and Commonwealth coins 1750 - 1950 and anything Kiwi.
If it's round, shiny and silvery I will love it.

Fakes have a much better nominal condition than coin pictured.
For this reason, pictured coin is not fake.

Since we have established its real, I will grade it

Almost Fine to high Very Goods, - a lot fo wear but a lot of detail beginning to show, honest and even condition, a slightly above average piece. I would say its worth around 20 - 30.
