Please post clear, well focused and properly oriented images of both sides of your coin. It's hard tell what's going on with the coin from a partial image like this.
The first US coin motto was found on a 1792 half disme and read: "LIB (erty) PAR (ent) OF SCIENCE & INDUSTRY"

Whilst awaiting new photos, it appears that a circulation hit (damage) has moved some metal in the immediate vicinity of the letters C and A.
