Guessing Increments
-- All guesses above $20 must be in whole dollar increments and will be rounded to the nearest dollar.
-- Guesses between $10 and $20 can be in $0.50 increments and will be rounded to the nearest $0.50 increment.
-- Guesses below $10 can be in $0.25 increments and will be rounded to the nearest $0.25 increment.
-- Minimum Guess is $0.25. Free coins are not used here.
When making your guesses please:
-- Put your guess alone on the line and at the far left hand side.
-- Include the dollar sign ($) before your guess.
-- Leave at least one blank line above and below your guess.
Other Rules
-- Final prices should not include shipping or other fees.
-- Only the first person to guess a specific value will be counted for bonus points. Repeat guesses for the same value will not get bonus points, so PAY ATTENTION! There will be no ties during the rounds!
-- One guess per person per round. If your guess is a duplicate, you will be given a chance to correct it; anyone can post a warning to the player and they will have until the round finishes to correct it. I may adjust them (up or down) when possible.
-- Unless you posted a duplicate guess, there will be no editing guess posts. If you edit your post, please include a comment why you edited it. Otherwise, edited posts will not count.
-- All uncorrected duplicate or otherwise invalid guesses will only receive five points for participation.
-- Minimum round duration: Each round requires eight different participant guesses and two days.
-- There will be ten rounds. In the event of a tie there are tiebreaker rules (below).
-- All coins were provided in advance. They were purchased in the time frame stated.
-- All rounds will end during what I call "US National Business Hours" or 8AM to 8PM Eastern (Forum) Time. Results can come anytime after that.
-- If two (or more) players are tied after ten rounds, the first tiebreaker will be the number of winning (20 point) rounds (not including submission rounds).
-- If two (or more) of the tied players have the same number of winning rounds, then then the second tiebreaker will be the number of runner-up (10 point) rounds.
-- If two (or more) of the tied players have the same number of winning and runner-up rounds then the third tiebreaker will be the player who did not submit a coin for the season.
-- If two (or more) of the tied players have the same number of winning and runner-up rounds and they all did (or they all did not) submit a coin this season, then the fourth tiebreaker will be the accuracy of guesses (starting with Winning guesses).
-- For ranking purposes, five points will be awarded for the tiebreaker.
