Hello coin people!

I'm so happy to be here.
I started out always wanting a Morgan and finally bought one about a year ago. My coin dealer is a sweet man who makes a newbie really feel comfortable, so I kept going back. (He's also very smart!)
I'm sure most people here understand how an interest in coins can just mushroom in record time.
I'm very interested in the
Peace dollars, though I only own 2.
I love all coins prior to 1990 because they still feel like real coins in my hand.
I love very old
US coins, but I am not a rich person, so most of my older coins (Large cents, Barbers, etc) are considered junk by serious collectors. I'm just happy to have one Eagle cent, even if it is very worn.
I collect things that are of interest usually before trying to collect them all. For example, I have a whole roll of Nixon dollars (I don't know why, it makes me smile) and proofs of Washington, Lincoln, JFK, LBJ, but not really interested in getting every president. The golden dollars kind of make me angry because they tarnish if you just look at them wrong.
I'd like a decent example of US cents, nickels, dimes and quarters for each decade going back to early 1900s. I figure that's doable.
I enjoy the silver quarters very much, especially ones that have a nice worn look. They remind me of a favorite old pair of jeans. The quarters after 1990 just make me angry. They don't look or feel right to me.
I have recently gotten very interested in WW2 coins. I'm fascinated with the reichspfennig, the differences in occupied and unoccupied French francs, the different materials. I hadn't even considered world coins, but the steel pennies got me thinking. And here I am with a WW2 page in my binder.
I am not interested in mint marks that much. Again, I have a huge interest in coins but not a lot of cabbage, so I try to keep my sights reasonably focused.
I'll take coins that are damaged because they are still beautiful to me.
I wish that the US would return to striking images of beautiful Liberty on the obverse rather than men(as in mortals). While I do revere our forefathers, and I can't imagine a penny without Lincoln very easily, a new coinage for us all with a beautiful image of Liberty would be uniting and refreshing. I wish I could afford more Liberty quarters. They are so beautiful.
I have also gotten interested in the Silver Eagles, and currently own just two- 2013 and 2020. I'd like to get one for all the years in between and then for every year going forward.
I'm looking forward to looking around here, maybe even getting involved in some threads as a registered member.
Coin collecting is an amazing world. There are so many reasons to collect, so much beauty and history and such cool people.
