I received this bill a few weeks ago and I'm unable to find anything about it. I'm guessing the Statue of Liberty was added by someone although it looks real to my untrained eye. I don't know it shows in the photos but the flame in the torch is a few different shades of orange and yellow. Thanks in advance. Frank

Hi Silverwolf, it wasn't the Wheresgeorge.com that I couldn't find, it's the Statue of Liberty on the right side of the bill. Thanks, Frank

It has to have been overprinted by someone. I can't find anything about that design specifically.

Welcome to CCF. When the OP says "it looks real", are they suggesting that they think the BEP printed the Statue of Liberty on the note ? The note has obviously been stamped post BEP.

Good morning guys, thanks for the replies and the "welcomes". After not being able to find anything like this on the internet I was sure it was added after printing but what gets me is why would anyone go through all that trouble then spend it and never see it again. I know nothing of the printing process or anything about bills but someone must have used a pretty sophisticated stamp or printer to get it aligned straight, and then there is the coloring. There are many shades of greenish/blue and the flame is tiny and has at least 5 colors or shades. Anyway, I know it's not valuable it was just interesting to me. Thanks again.

Maybe the person who stamped the note decided to go a step further and add the Statue of Liberty as their "signature." They probably just used an inkjet printer to do it. What would be more interesting is finding another one.

Not really, because people who hand stamp the Where's George most times stamp a bunch at one time and then spend them to get the to circulate.

Thankfully, the added distractions were applied to a nondescript note. No harm, no foul.
