Just celebrating a wee lil milestone for my collection / hoard. My focus has been on coins minted on the 82nd year (Julian) for all centuries. This past week I added coin #200, an Austrian Leopold the Hogmouth 3 Kruezer with pretty toning in a PCGS MS64 slab. I wanted #200 to be something more special, so I held out for a little while. But thrilled to make it finally! 318BC, 382, and 482 are my only century holes left.

And now that I made it, I'm going to give a couple other sets some attention that have been collecting dust for a little bit. For some reason, V nickels came to me from my ancestors. My first coin ever was a 1903 my grandmother found in a drawer ca 1992 and gave to me. There was a 1910 in the little cache I got from my grandfather's collection. And a key 1886 popped up unexpectedly going through a mislabeled box of my great-grandmothers things (as well as a 20 cent, an 1850s dime, commemorative half dollars, and a obsolete Nebraska note amongst other things). My mom also gifted me a pretty 1883 as a youth for Christmas. So I've decided to finish the V nickels set with my daughter to make it a 5 generations collection. Most of my starting place was in F2/AG3 to start with, so I'm generally going to just have fun with my toddler picking out similar coins to fill the holes and make it more of the experience.

And I've also long enjoyed the Buffalo nickels, early Half Cents, and capped bust half-dimes and dimes; so I'm going to work on date sets of those as well.
My hoard of '82s is up to 202! 218 BC x 1, 118 BC x 3, 18 BC x 1, 82 x 1, 182 x 1, 282 x 2, 582 x 2, 682 x 1, 782 x 2, 882 x 1, 982 x 4, 1082 x 1 1182 x 8, 1282 x 2, 1382 x 1, 1482 x 5, 1582 x 13, 1682 x 15, 1782 x 56, 1882 x 49, 1982 x 33

Nice work @collects! It has been really fun to watch your acquisitions pile up over the past few years that I have been on CCF. It sounds like you are in a good spot toward pivoting to another area of coin collecting--well done.

for your great focus, and that is a lovely coin.

Since I see from your signature that this is one of more than a dozen 1682s in your collection, by any chance do you have a Poland 6 groschen coin for the same year?

I don't have the Poland one. I have the similarly styled Prussia / Brandenberg one.
