My niece and I found these under the closet floorboard in her home, but we know nothing about coins! We thought what better time to learn about coins than now? Does anyone know how much approximately are these worth?

Thank you!

They all look like fairly common types and dates, nothing particularly "awesome". Alot of the stuff is very recent. Is it possible to find the previous owner and return them?

They bought the house in 2016 after the previous owner passed away. He was unmarried and lived there for over 30 years.

The silver coins dated prior to 1965 are worth at least their silver value (about 12x face value). The enclosed coins are called "proof" coins and are common collectibles. There may be some collectibles hidden inside some of the rolls of coins.

Definitely an exciting find.
Looks to be in total a few hundred dollars worth of coins. As mentioned above, nothing rare and mostly modern. But there's quite a bit of silver there.
Without being able to zoom in on your pictures, and see everything in detail, my guesstimate is $500 value. You could bring it all to a coin shop, or spend the time to learn about it. You will likely get a little more value out of it when you know more about what you have, and you will (hopefully) enjoy the learning.
Either way, congrats.

Do you have a coin shop in the area? They could evaluate them for you.

I'd say a value of around $750-$1000 based on EBAY averages. Most of the 2000 and up sets sell between $35-60, the 2012 is easily $100 plus. Silver proofs are higher. The individually assembled Kennedy sets another 75 or so, depending on the grades. In other words, pick what you're looking for and scroll the web site.
