Wow! On the subject of toners I am amazed at how these get graded on the high end of the scale when tiny marks which would lower a non-toned all to often get obscured through heavy color. Unless by chance the grade came before the tone. Or am I alone in the thinking? Still, that is a sweet coin.

You know what this coin reminds me of? The scene from the movie "X-Men: Apocalypse" where at the end Jean unleashes the Phoenix in a explosion of fire and ends it all. The Standing Liberty in this coin is just like that with the red and orange toning.

This is a beautiful coin. I am not a big fan of toning but in this case it is very nice. With a coin struck this nice it makes it all the more obvious how flat the date is. It makes me wonder how no one at the mint realized the pedestal the date sits on is too high.

I would guess that removing the toning from this coin would reduce the value by half. Better to just buy a boring blast white one!

Probably more than that. But as you said yes, just buy blast if you want it, toned SLQs are rare to come by anyway.
