2007 D Penny With Error Under The 2007

I came across a 2007 penny with what I believed was a "mint mark" error, I hope I said that right. I used my phone to take the picture, I'm unsure if it that's what it is or just some common damage to it, or who knows I have a lot to learn, thanks in advance.
