I have been a coin collector for decades and only recently got on this message board and started hunting for errors with my son. Still not clear on the difference between Machine Doubling and double die but I think I found my first double die. Look at the 2002 and the star in the middle as well as another star around the edge.

Looking for confirmation, thanks!

Not quite! This coin is subject to bothe Die Deterioration Doubling, and Machine Doubling. Keep searching, I've been collecting errors and varieties for years and only found my first doubled die last year! Have fun!
