This is from my Grandfather's war trunk. The coin was discovered about 25 years ago when we started to go through his things. The coin/medal is in a cardboard box that has "SILTER" on the underside of the box.
The edge of the coin has the HAUPTMONZAMT WEIN followed by an "A" enclosed in a small circle. After the "A" I think it reads "89G"
I tried to list this coin a few years ago but ebay refused the listing because it was deemed a propaganda medal/coin.
Where do I sell this? How much is it worth? Is it rare"

I don't know anything about this item; I'm looking forward to what information comes forward.

If it were my Grandfathers, I'd never sell it as the sentiment would outweigh the $.

Also, could you please upload the reverse? O_O My eyes are curious.

This is actually a step Grandfather. I was very young when he passed, I have other items that are sentimental. This is not something that I collect.
I have posted the back side for the ones that asked what it looked like.

Googling a bit more, it seems like it is a celebratory medal of both the seizure of Austria via Anschluss (13 March 1938) and the Seizure of the Sudetenland from Czechoslovakia via the Munich agreement (29 September 1938). Interesting historical piece. Thanks for posting.

This is a medal on the annexation of Austria minted at the Vienna mint. When ever you see any German mint name spelled out on the edge it is a medal.

What is the significance of the 29th Sep 1938 in relation to the annexation of Austria?

The medal is not specific to the annexation of Austria, it "celebrates" the growth of the Greater German Reich, which also includes the Czech Sudetenland given to Germany via the Munich agreement 29.9.1938. Like the text on the reverse states: "The Greater German Reich has arisen."
