From the looks of the gouges and scrapes across the whole coin I'd say this one has just spent some time eating pavement

To the CCF

I see a lot of damage but no sign of an error.
That peeling is damage to the coin called PMD (Post Minting Damage)
Remember, an error can only occur during the striking of the coin.
Anything that happens after that is just damage.

That's what I was wondering I have a large coin collection however, I have not had time to get anything appraised. That one just happened to be in my pocket. Thanks for your insight!

Does look like a possible lamination error around the obverse rim. Could you try to take a clearer photo of that?
