I asked a friend who is Chinese what this coin was and she said it looks like a Yongle Tongboa. I have looked online but none of the coins I saw have the arc lines on the back of the coin. I have no way of knowing if this is authentic coin, a fake or something someone got from a Chinese take away. I am new to this forum so if this is not appropriate my apologies. anyone know what I have?

I know little about these but I do know that the size will help the people who do know. Some Chinese coins are copied to be used as charms, so they'll look the same as a coin, just bigger. Diameter and weight are a real help to us, and eventually you.

Try searching for Japanese 11 wave coins.

This is a late 1700s, early 1800s Japan 4 Mon (11 Waves) cash coin. Doesn't look like a reproduction and has the right look for a legitimate cast coin.
