Hey, I got this beat up roman coin recently. I've looked for hours and hours to try to get an exact date but I can't seem to identify it.

Divus Claudius II, consecration issue after AD 270, possibly a contemporary imitation (barbarous radiate).

I think that @Kushanshah nailed it. Out of interest, what is the diameter?

Not so much the size but that the flan is too small for the dies. The official coins tend to be well struck on full flans. The way that the altar is drawn can also be a clue. It is not always an easy call.
