I had founds a 1974 Steel Lincoln Memorial Cents on CRH.
Error Steel Cents 1974?

Looks plated, maybe as a fake '74 aluminum. Can you weigh it?

Testing with a magnet will also rule out steel.

Agreed that it is probably plated with either tin, silver, nickel, lead or any of various other metals.

Looks plated to me. Possibly chrome, with the plating rusting.

Did you weigh it?
That will tell you whether it is steel or copper
but I bet it is plated copper.

They would be Steel Plated with copper sounds.
Called a Aluminum Cents.

The 1974 aluminum cent was a one-cent coin proposed by the United States Mint in 1973. It was composed of an alloy of aluminum and trace metals, and intended to replace the predominantly copper-zinc cent due to the rising costs of coin production in the traditional bronze alloy.

First, do not post the image in every reply. We can see it in your initial post.

Second, as requested, did you weight it? An aluminium cent would weight significantly less than a bronze one.
