Hello!

I have been wanting to upgrade my lousy bounty hunter metal detector for a while, and I just came across this more affordable Minelab model.

It is perfectly in my price range, and I am about to purchase it.

I just wanted to find out quick if anyone on here has purchased one of these detectors. If so, is it good quality? Does it work well?

Thanks.

Hi coinhunter4
I personally dont use a Vanquish however I have hunted with a local guy who uses one and he does really well with it.
In the evolution of Minelab detectors of the past decade, the Vanquish models are on par with the wide range of detector models including the older explorers and the newer equinox..just a trimmed down equinox with few bells and whistles if my opinion mattered
I would feel better using a Vanquish over a Bounty Hunter if I had to make a choice as well...minelab technology is just that much better in this comparison
Just my 2 cents

Thanks ironhorse!

Ya, my bounty hunter has caused me multiple problems since I got it. The plug for earbuds fell out sometime, it doesn't work on beaches, and it gives me many false signals.

I have decided to buy the Minelab detector.

I will update this with my thoughts once I get it!

Thanks for moving the topic moderators!

I didn't realize there was a metal detecting sub forum...

Whatever you use make sure it is not a bounty hunter. Talk about false signals and broken discrimination.
