I hunted my first penny box in close to 10 years last night. Neither of my banks received their coin deliveries which had my boxes of halves. The teller at the second bank said that they had an extra box of pennies if I wanted that, so I reluctantly took it. I was pleasantly surprised though. Only about 20% of the box was copper cents, but I ended up with 22 wheat cents - 1 from the teens, 3 from the 20s, 1 30s, 8 40s & 9 50s. I also found 7 2009s and a few upgrades for my album. No errors or varieties, but a good hunt overall. I might have to start hunting cents a little more often again.
Coinfrog I hear you. Definitely a young man's endeavor. I had to use a magnifying glass just to see most of the dates. And my old hands are sore today from rerolling them all, since none of my banks accept lose coins.
