I'm not looking for proofs or gems, but above average in looks.

What would be a good price to pay for a $10 roll of 90% Washington silver quarters? Maximum?

Any recommended sellers on ebay? Anything to look out for when buying?

Thanks!

These are bullion coins. Check your LCS for a typical price.

Not going to find proofs or gems in $10 rolls of silver quarters. Even if you bought an unsearched original roll of MS quarters at blue book value $400 plus I would think depending on year the chances of finding a gem one in the roll would be very slim.

Edit - not looking, see that now.

Did a quick search on ebay. Found a couple rolls sold of uncirculated rolls around $300. Melt value on a roll is around $160. I think your best bet would be what others have suggested and go to a local coin shop and search their junk silver bins. Pick out ones you like. The thing is they will just be melt value coins. If you want above average you will need to pay a premium.

Dealers often sell 1964/older 90% silver circulated coins by their $1 face value. The cost is based on the current silver spot price plus the dealer premium. For example, $21 for two halves or four quarters or 10 dimes, or a mix of any that add up to $1. Currently this runs very roughly from $20 to $24. Some will sell in rolls, others just plastic bags. You could check online dealers, ebay, your local coin store to compare prices. One roll has 40 quarters, $10 face.. So for example at $21 face, that would be $210 for a roll. There are good honest dealers online, some not so much. Some of dealers I trust, Bullion Exchanges, SDBullion, APMEX, Hero Bullion, there are others.
