What causes the smooth shiny area seen on this dime? I have several in the roll which are pretty much exactly in the same place. The area looks to be too small to have been polished manually? I am puzzled and have a sneaking suspicion that some of you know what this is from. Thank you in advance. It is a 1955 p dime. Only putting reverse as this is the only side with the problem. The image is darker than usual in order for the shiny area to stand out from the luster. It is around the cluster by the word United.

need better images here. Close-up of the area of interest. But could have been a polished die to fix something in that area - such as a clash...
