Billyboy New Member Australia 15 Posts	Posted 02/12/2009 01:11 am Hi again I decided to go to the local library and borrow a book on coins so I didnt have to worry you all with endless questions about what this coin is and that. Anyway, still have a few I couldn't find in the book but am getting there. I realise this coin is an Italian 500 Lire but was wondering about the dots on one side. The ones in the book have words written there (names of places etc I gather). Is this braille? Maybe a stupid question but anyway... thanks. chrisild Pillar of the Community Germany 1238 Posts	Posted 02/13/2009 06:39 am This one is the 500 lire circulation coin issued between 1982 and 2001; there were also a few circulating commems in that bimetallic style. The building is the Palazzo del Quirinale, the residence of the Italian president; on the left there is the Fontana dei Dioscuri.
